Scheduled Prayer

5-12-16

Chapter 8
"After bidding them farewell, he left for the mountain to pray" -Mark 6:46

Here Is where you can get this book. Ive already read way ahead of schedule i just couldnt get enough. But still doing chapter notes a day. This chapter, hence the title, is about scheduing prayer. Its rather short compared to the others but this chapter was definitely more 'straight to the point'.

Prayer should ALWAYS be part of your routine schedule. Not just a "well im notnaure if i feel like toay" schedule. We should always be praying. Essentially it should be part of our thinking process. Ive gotten into the habit this. Especially when i have two darling children whi are only 14months apart. Im *almost* constantly 'lord, please help me keep my composure and my temper. In jesus' name' between them, a few people at work, and how messy the work area is(i work in retail). Heres my take. If you can 'schedule' in txting a friend, checking your facebook, your email, watch tv, go to the movies, you can schedule in prayer. It doesnt even have to long. It can be a simple hearfelt 'thank you for today lord'. Throughout the day instead of getting irritated go 'lord help me. And help them. I pray blessings and abundace and that their day gets better to improve both their and my attitude to better suit you'. You dont have to stop and bow your head. You can keep working, driving, what have you while you pray. But at night, and/or first thing in the morning. Take a moment to actually be still and pray to Him. When you intergrate and schedule prayer in and throughout your day it becomes easier to NOT forget. It also shows that God is in fact part of your everyday life. Daniel and david both prayed 3 times a day. In the morning, at noon, and before bed. If theres anything you love and enjoy, you seem to always make time for that, even if we are super busy. Why cant we all prioritize prayer like we do with our phones, tv shows, etc.?
